Women in MMA

After watching Anthony "Showtime" Pettis fight on World of Jenks episode "Fifty Fists," I was surprised that women take part in this rough sport as well.  Take a look at some of the videos I found about women in MMA.  This is just a small look into the world of women MMA fighters.  There are many more MMA women than the ones I show you below and the number is growing.  My inner feminist is yelling, "If boys can do it, so can girls!"

  1. Although not the most feminine of sports, it is a form of expression and some women do need an outlet for their rage! Lol... I support female MMA fighters and I look up to them for their courage. What I do not support is the ref tripping over the fighters on 1:16 on that last video, hahaha...

  2. i agree, MMA is a wonderful way to release some stress and rage lol. i also support and admire female MMA fighters because if you saw the first video i posted showing Gina Carano's work out sessions .. MAN! that kind of working out takes real dedication and passion for the sport. and good eye on that tripping ref, i didn't catch it at first hahaha

  3. Women in mma. U no i never really thought about it but i mean they in every other sport y not right? Women can do everything men can though not necessary as well and vice versa. Dont get feminist on me though i know some wnba players will kick the ass of some nba players and other sports. Though let me say, mens figure skatin is an abomination against humanity and should be illegalized asap.

  4. I won't get all feminist on you lol. Women can do what men do, but it's only fair to realize that there are limitations to what both sexes are able to do in a sport or just in general.

  5. lol... She's very talented and definitely not hard on the eye. I really think I've seen her before though. Didn't she open Kimbo's fight?

  7. Hold on, are we talking about the same people here? This girl has a lot of skills, no Q about it but I find it hard to believe that she can beat THE Kimbo Slice. The guy weighs 236 lbs. compared to Carano's 143 lbs. She might be agile and strong too but look at what it takes to bring down Kimbo slice.

He's not better than she is, but they simply are in two completely opposite categories; not because of the gender but because of the weight issue. He can probably lay a submission on this girl by sitting on her. And yes, she opened for Kimbo's fight.

  8. Im not sayin shes gonna knock him out cold but theres other ways. I seen someone jeannettes size take out someone bigger thn jermaine smaller thn will. Wen ur smaller u move faster but the bigger person can take more hits but wen they get their hands on the smaller person its pretty much a wrap. But look at that fight kimbo had few yrs back wer he got tko by tht guy tht barely made the weight class with the pink hair. The girl can also get him out by submission or maybe a lucky blow or back in the 70s in boxin there was a guy who swung so hard but missed and knocked himself out.

  9. "i bet you she can fight kimbo and kick his ass." Submission does not count as such. Petruzelli, the guy with the pink hair, still weighs over 200 punds. I'll let the moderator make a decision on this one...

  10. Thats bull. If u force someone to tap out u kicked theyre ass. Tko is bull though that shouldnt count wen the ref calls it. But if u have someone in pain and they tapping tht floor like nobodys business that you own them
